If you have a dog who is shedding like crazy this time of year, I would absolutely recommend getting FURminator Deshedding Tool.  I have a one year old chocolate lab and this spring her shedding has been driving me crazy!  I had previously scoffed at the price of the FURminator -- they cost between $50-$65 depending on the length of your dogs hair. But after sweeping every day for months and months, I was willing to try anything.  After using the FURminaor for about 15 minutes on my pup, we noticed a huge difference in her shedding and I wish I had picked one up earlier!  (By the way, I am in no way affiliated with the FURminator -- this is a completely unbiased recommendation!)
