There are so many occasions where the small act of planning ahead can really save you money.  For example, if you’re interested in checking out the New York State Fair this year, plan ahead and purchase your ticked before August 26^th to get your ticket for only $6.  After August 6^th, the price goes up to $10 so this is a 40% savings.  Multiply the savings across your entire family and the difference can be significant.

If you’ve never been to the Rochester Jazz festival, this coming week is a great time to do it!  Many people think that the festival only offers headline shows or club passes that cost can cost anywhere from $25 to $95.  There are actually tons of shows that you can watch & listen to absolutely free.  You’ll find talent ranging from some really great local high school bands, Eastman school performances all the way to national acts.  I’ll give you a short list of a few of the free show highlights.  For a complete listing of dates, times and locations, check out the Rochester Jazz site.
